Dungeons and Dragons: All the different races and there benefits

Updated: Mar 19, 2021

In the world of D&D, you don't have to be what you are, you don't have to be a human (or in this case a sloth). There are LOADS (and what I mean by loads is like 50 different ones!) and loads of different races, and if you want you can make up your own! Here is a list of three of my favourites:

  1. Tabaxi:

If you read the section before this, you will know that these cat-like creatures are called 'Tabaxies'. Tabaxies are usually rather fond of old or otherwise rare objects such as holy orbs or mystical rings. As you might expect, they are quite good at climbing trees, so many of them are rangers, rogues and druids. This is probably my favourite race for many reasons such as their sneakiness and feline stuff like purring when something good happens.

2.Teifling:

If you are the kind of person who doesn't feel like they really fit in, then you should be a teifling. What I like about teiflings is their horns. A teifling without horns is only born once every century (I think). They are often quite dextrous and because of this, many are rogues. Many are descendants of fiends, demons, Yugoloths, devils, evil deities and other strange and mysterious creatures. Another cool thing about them is that many have purple, blue, pink and indigo hair but naturally! From all of that I think you will agree when I say teiflings are pretty cool.

3. Tortle:

Usually I don't use illustrated pictures but I couldn't resist using this one because it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! Oh, look! I just gave you a tortle feature: extreme cuteness! One of the good things about tortles is that they get advantage on strength and constitution when withdrawn into their shells. The annoying thing about going into your shell is that you have disadvantage on dexterity which is sad, but I spose you probably couldn't run up a building with parkour if you are in your shell.

Ok, so those are probably my three favourite races. You can use them if you want but remember you can always make up your own! Bye!
